The second in the sequence of Rupert Hine albums co-produced by Stephen W Tayler, Waving Not Drowning developed the distinctive production language established with Immunity. Co-produced, engineered and mixed by Tayler at Farmyard Studios, the album continued a body of work that became a calling card for the production partnership and led to collaborations with a succession of other artists.
